GrantGuard

Six working documents for grants and sponsored programs teams running Workday. Built around what federal audits actually find, not around what is interesting to configure.

Contents

Six documents, one licence

Licensed to your institution rather than per seat. Two of them are the objects the other documents tell you to build, already built.

XLSX
01 · Readiness workbook

Forty-four scored checks across seven domains, weighted to ninety-seven points. It produces the band and the ranked gap list that the other five documents work from.

PDF
02 · Effort certification pack

An eight-question defensibility test, a two-hour self-sampling protocol, and a printable worksheet. Effort is where the money is in almost every published finding.

XLSX
03 · F&A reconciliation workbook

Your tenant against your signed rate agreement, rate by rate and date by date. It then prices the gap in both directions, because under-recovery is a real loss nobody books.

PDF
04 · Award statement spec

The eight blocks a one-award report has to contain, a field-level source table, and six acceptance tests. Hand it to whoever builds your reports and the arguing stops.

PDF + DOCX
05 · Expenditure control guide, with message bank

Block, Warn and Route design, rules by award tier, a six-test protocol, and a rollout that does not stop the institution. The companion file carries drafted wording for all thirteen rules plus the five rollout announcements, editable, because these get pasted into config and into email.

PDF + XLSX
06 · Audit response playbook, with request log

The first seventy-two hours, how to answer a sampled item, and the six ways institutions make it worse. The log counts requests per item and flags the third one, because three requests on one item is a finding forming.

What the workbook actually returns

Here is a full run on a specimen institution six weeks out from a sponsor review.

BandAt risk

Fifty-two percent sounds survivable until you read the two rows above the band. The workbook names effort substantiation as the weakest domain rather than averaging it into a number that reads fine.

The part most tools skip

A pass you cannot evidence is not a pass

Every check has a second column asking whether you hold the evidence today. A critical check marked Pass with nothing behind it counts as an exposure, identically to a failure.

Answer every check Pass with no evidence held and the workbook returns one hundred percent and the band At risk. That contradiction is deliberate, and it is exactly the conversation an auditor starts.

Where the content comes from

Checkable, and named

Every figure in the effort pack traces to a published federal audit report you can pull yourself.

The work plan item describes the population of institutions holding NIH awards, not a count of institutions under audit, and the document says so in those words. Nothing here derives from any client engagement or from any Workday training material.

The health check has sixteen checks and no evidence dimension. GrantGuard has forty-four and asks about evidence on every one, which is the whole difference between knowing and being able to prove it.

Two ways to buy

Pay now by card or bank transfer and the documents arrive by email within one business day. Or ask for an invoice if your finance team needs a PO and a W-9 first.

Payment is handled by Intuit and Saintilco Consulting never sees your card details. Bank transfer is offered at checkout and preferred for institutional purchases; thirty-day refund, no questions.

Not sure yet? Take fifteen minutes first and I will tell you if this is the wrong thing to buy.
